Preparation
The floor needs to be removed where the frame rails were offset in and up. The tubs also need space.
Body On
Once the floor is notched, time to install the body on new cushions.
New Floor
Once I mounted the body back onto the modified chassis, I decided to completely redo the floor panels and inner rocker panels.
Many Places Visited...
This car has been worked on in so many places. First in the old barn in PA, then here at my Grandmothers' house in Rosedale, NY. In between those places, when it was roadworthy I kept it at home in Queens Village, where I grew up.
Then after living under the awning pictured, it went back to PA into storage for awhile. Eventually I found SOME time to work on it, so I brought it back to Rosedale and rented a neighbor's garage. Now she resides in my garage at my house in North Flushing, NY.

Quarters
After most of the floors were installed, I found lots of putty along the lower quarter panels, so I did both sides.
Did I mention I buy ALL of my 55 Chevy parts from OL 55 in PA? They have everything. If they do not have it new, they will find parts from their local junkie, or their used parts section. Very honest pricing, excellent shipping, and all who work there are nice people to deal with. I have been using them since 1985. I will never think of buying from anyone else.Period.

Looking Like Something...
Removed the old paint, installed a 6 PT roll cage and primed the whole thing.
Hmmm...
Looks like I missed the door edge with the primer!
